Review - Baiobay Hair Beauty
After a long summer in the Mediterranean heat coupled with daily dips in the sea, our hair is often exhausted and visibly damaged by the time Autumn arrives. Ideally we should have been shielding our hair with scarves and repairing it daily with a natural conditioning mask but guess who got a bit excited and forgot the first rule of summer beauty?
So, in an attempt to bring the bounce back, we’ve been trialling some clean hair products from French brand Baiobay. Both are vegan, organic-certified and cruelty-free, scoring 100/100 on Yuka assessments.
Nourishing Hair Mask
This thick creamy mask was tested on afro hair that had significant weather damage and was feeling particularly dry on the ends. This formula is uses organic coconut extract, is silicone-free and should be applied to clean, wet hair and washed out after 10-15 minutes. In fact, we left it in overnight and the results were perfect - soft, divine-smelling hair and infinitely less frizz. For thick curly hair, we applied ALOT of product and got through the whole tube in 4 washes.
Hair Serum
Baiobay’s hair serum includes coconut oil and baobab oils to nourish the hair and increase softness without weighing it down. We used a few drops on just-washed dry hair to calm frizz and protect from the elements. The first thing we noticed was the incredible smell which follows you around all day and then the softness of the hair with regular use. It works great with the hair mask in tandem but apply less if your hair is straight and lacks volume.
