Wild One

It has always felt natural to me to communicate with nature and animals. As a sensitive and empathic child, I picked up emotions and feelings from others easily. Being outside in the garden or the beautiful green bush in front of our home, was a gateway to another world. A world where I could release energy, just be, dream and fantasize and feel at peace. I loved being surrounded by the trees and animals and all their wisdom and mystics.

There is a consciousness within all things; I guess I could sense that. The trees have an ancient wisdom that goes beyond our time here on Earth and they often transmitted images of ancient times to me like little stories. The plant and animal kingdom gave freely and generously. I felt the connection they had with each other.

As I got older, and we moved to a different neighborhood in the village, I didn’t have that direct access to the plant and animal kingdom anymore. But still, being outdoors was what I enjoyed the most and often I found a bird to chat with or a tree to connect to. But along the way I got distracted by life and it took quite some time to open myself again for the wisdom of nature. Once I did, I started to remember. It felt like homecoming, deeply healing and life changing. My inner child inspired me to talk to trees, plants, rocks and animals again. And from that moment on, the connection deepened.

We are part of nature. The rhythms of nature are the rhythms of life. To understand how the world functions, we must understand more of the various cycles and patterns and our connection to them.

Along the way, in the 3-D reality, we have gotten distracted from our divine understanding and each other. We got separated from our oneness and got caught up in the web of division, going faster, wanting more, working longer hours, eating artificial or seasonal food all year round, watching television and the internet. And perhaps most importantly: we stopped looking inside ourselves for answers.

Ancient people, however, lived according to the cycles of nature. Instead of artificial technology, they were surrounded by biological technology of spiritual energy. The sun’s cycle, for example, was essential to them. They honoured the sun like God or Goddess - they knew that the rays were the source of life. Quite a difference compared to what we have been taught over the past decades: fearing the sun.

Although this may not sound very uplifting, I believe that everything occurs for a deeper purpose. And this too is part of humanity’s awakening.

Earth is alive and change and growth are the only constants here. As we are sailing on the winds of change, we are opening ourselves to new realisations about the nature of life and ourselves. Greater awareness is coming for the entire world. I feel that so much has changed already now that we are in this huge shift and leaving the old paradigm behind.

We are finding ourselves and each other again and our connection with nature as well.

Being open to nature leads me in many ways that are interwoven with several aspects of my life. It helps me to be more in tune with who I really am and supports me in my work as a spiritual mentor and energy reader and healer. It also guides me towards living a holistic, adventurous life rich in simplicity, rooted in purity.

Through the activation of cellular memory, it helps me to walk with grace, trusting the flow and going slower when things around me go faster. It is also of great help while gardening and growing herbs, fruits and veggies. The food responds to us, to our intentions. When grown in loving care, with respect for nature, it is boosted with cosmic forces. But of course, this connection also needs nourishment and cannot be taken for granted. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature and feel blessed to live in two different continents connected to nature.

How to connect with nature…

As you visit nature, truly be there. Go by yourself or with an animal friend, like a dog or horse, and leave your technology at home or turn it off.  Stand or sit barefoot and feel your feet in the soil. Bathe in the trees. Listen to the water. Feel the wind.

Communicate with Mother Gaia and nature in your heart and out loud. Give thanks to all that she gives to sustain your life. Tell her that you will only take what you need from her and give love and gratitude in return. Speak to the trees, the butterflies, the bees, birds and all that you cross paths with. Take time to listen to the sounds and experience the smells.

Relax and be receptive, so that you can expand your awareness and hear your inner voice. Ask yourself what you would like to receive from our Mother or the trees or..whatever you would like to focus upon. Or set an intention….

‘It is my intention to be fully open to receive and understand the knowledge and wisdom that is present here in a way that serves my highest good.’

Meditate for a moment. Bring your attention to your breath - breathe deeply and gently. With every breath release what you would like to let go of and with every inhale, take in what is being offered. Feel what is being returned to you. Allow it to move into your body, your heart, energy and into your consciousness.

As you repeat this more often, you will start to trust it more and more. Be playful afterwards, ask your inner child to join you, be in awe of the complexity and simplicity of nature. Absorb the beauty and enjoy your time together. Have fun!

The trees and animals can sense what you are thinking and they will constantly send out the most ideal vibrations in that moment for you to create balance. You may feel more expansive, filled with love, light, peaceful, joyful or just a general sense of wellbeing. Or you may receive an answer to a question or feel simply inspired to take a certain next step.

Be willing to trust what comes to you or arises within you. And receive with an open heart. Express your gratitude. Spending more time by yourself in nature will support you in recognising the voices and finding your own voice.

If you live in the city, spending time every now and then in the country or a rural area is highly recommended, but you can feel the connection anywhere. Nature surrounds us and lives within us. Just go outside. Look up and feel and breathe the air.

Go and sit against a tree in the park. Touch the soil. Feel the earth connection through your feet. Find a flower and breathe in its essence. Live with the seasons. Choose to be on nature’s side. And allow it to be part of you.

If we can all spend time listening to the call of nature, it will help us to remember what Oneness is again. And might speed up our awakening process by supporting our journey to dive deeper within and tap into heart-centered consciousness, and ultimately create Heaven on Earth.

But this doesn’t mean that we are stuck now. Earth is rising and so are we. Even if someone never spends time in nature, they are still part of it and each person and the planet as a whole are receiving photon energy waves from the Central Sun, which changes our DNA structures and awakens the potential of higher awareness.

May this magical time on Mother Gaia inspire you to dive deeper into yourself and connect with your own true nature. May you feel love and loved every step on the way, deeply rooted in your truth and surrounded by all the treasures nature has to offer.
